The Forest is watching, waiting for you!
Many times I have been hiking in the woods and have a strange feeling that someone is there when I see or hear no one. Can you see them now?" They are there, waiting, watching. I grew up on a Christmas Tree farm in Northern California, it was my Uncle Glenn who put me on the path for my love of trees and nature . Living with him and Aunt Nita for awhile was one I will never forget; my growing love for nature and playing in the great mountainous outdoors, which remains hearty to me to this very day even though my Aunt Nita & Uncle Glenn have both since passed into their next lives. I wish to show them that I have taken what they have shared with me while growing up in their grace in those wonderful mountains of N. California on how to embrace Nature. So the next time you are in the woods better say hello to the forest for they are there, waiting and waching for you! They may reveal to you a secret as they have shared with me. How many faces do you see? in the picture above"
Have you embraced nature yet today?" You should!
I found this old hollow cypress tree while on a hike to the top of Pinnacle Mountain at a local state park in the Little Rock area. This tree spoke to me, actually yelled at me enough to hike off the main trail in search of the voice doing the yelling. I thought someone was hurt. This ancient tree stood on the bank of the creek that runs past the mountain heading to the Arkansas river nearby and there was an opening in the tree facing the water big enough to climb in so I did and to my dismay someone had dumped their picnic trash inside. I always carry a couple of Wal-mart bags with me and we pick up discarded litter that other people carelessly throw away on our way down the mountain, so I cleaned the tree up and my husband took this pic afterwards. No other pics that were taken that day had anything on them as this pic did. I like to think that it was the trees spirit revealing itself in gratitude for helping it. What do you think . . . sceptic or believer?"

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I have a special jar that when I find money around, anything silver, that is what I put in the ground as an offering that I take from the woods. I also collect scraps of colorful ribbon that I tie on the braches of special trees that seem to talk to me while on my mountain hikes.

Believer. I can definitely see the faces now! I cannot believe people sometimes...how hard is it to properly clean up your mess?! Thank you for helping that tree. It is a very honorable thing you do, cleaning up our mother earth. Every bit helps, and you are wonderful for doing it!

I have a tremendous belief and respect for nature. Anything I take from under a tree I thank them for the gift. Often I also take half broken branches off and whisper a blessing for quick healing. Great glog, reminded me of some great walks through forests myself.
